§ 30.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   ATTORNEY. The individual called attorney and charged from time to time with the legal dealings of the town.
   GOVERNING BODY. The Mayor, Council and Recorder together charged with the responsibility of enacting ordinances and determining the public policy of this municipality.
   MAYOR. The individual called Mayor and who is the principal or chief executive officer or chief administrator of the town.
   RECORDER. The individual called recorder and charged with the responsibility of keeping the journal of the proceedings of the governing body of the town and all other town records.
   TOWN. A term of art, notwithstanding any state or federal law to the contrary, mean, include and be limited to the Class IV Town of Marlinton, as classified in W. Va. Code § 8-1-3, heretofore incorporated as a municipal corporation under the laws of the state.
