§ 31.363 CHIEF OF STAFF.
   (A)   There is hereby created the position of Chief of Staff.
   (B)   The Chief of Staff shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. Appointment to this position created by ordinance may be made from time to time.
   (C)   The duties of the person appointed to the position of Chief of Staff shall include, but not be limited to: advising the Mayor and providing extensive professional assistance and recommendations on city issues, municipal operations and labor matters to the Mayor, department heads and/or appointed officials. The Chief of Staff shall facilitate, coordinate and supervise the work of all city departments and work to successfully implement the policies of the administration. The Chief of Staff shall serve as liaison between the Mayor and department heads, appointed officials and public and represent the Mayor when necessary. The Chief of Staff shall assist the Mayor with management of department heads and appointed officials. The Chief of Staff shall coordinate projects and programs from conception to completion. The Chief of Staff shall establish job descriptions and set goals for department heads and appointed officials and implement strategies to meet those goals.
   (D)   The Chief of Staff shall perform such other duties as may be assigned or delegated by the Mayor.
   (E)   The Chief of Staff shall receive as compensation for services performed such sum as set from time to time by ordinance.
