(A) Any person violating any provision of this chapter for which no specific penalty is prescribed shall be subject to § 10.99 of this code of ordinances.
(B) Any person convicted of violating § 137.22 of this chapter shall pay a fine not to exceed $50.

(C) (1) Any person found in violation of § 137.41 of this chapter shall be sentenced to not more than six months imprisonment or fined not less than $500 and not more than $1,000, or both.
(2) Any person who, prior to the effective date of § 137.41 of this chapter, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine prohibited by § 137.41 of this chapter shall have 30 days from the effective date of § 137.41 of this chapter to do either of the following without being subject to prosecution hereunder:
(a) To remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from within the city;
(b) To modify the assault weapon or large capacity magazine either to render it permanently inoperable or to permanently make it a device no longer defined as an assault weapon or large capacity magazine; or
(c) To surrender the assault weapon to the Chief of Police or his or her designee for disposal as provided in § 137.42 of this chapter.
