§ 116.210 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   ADULT DAY CARE HOME. Any single-family home located in a residential district and used as a home which regularly provides care for a group of no more than two up to a maximum of six adults that do not reside in the home, for a payment of a fee and for less than 24 hours per day. The adults (clients) must be ambulatory with or without the aid of any assistive devices.
   CHILD DAY CARE HOME. Any single-family home located in a residential district and used as a home which provides care for no more than two children under the age of 12 that do not reside in the home, for a payment of a fee, for less than 24 hours per day and that is under license by the state’s Department of Children and Family Services. The term CHILD DAY CARE HOME is not intended to include cooperative, reciprocal childcare by a group of parents in their respective homes.
   PERSON. An individual or any other legal entity properly established in accordance with the laws of the state and that is in good standing; if a copy of the legal paperwork is provided at the time the application is made, and it continues to be updated, if necessary, at the time of the renewal of a business license.
