§ 116.196 LICENSE REQUIRED.
   (A)   No landscape and lawn care professional shall engage in the business of the care of lawns, shrubs, trees and any other occupation pertaining to landscape maintenance without first securing a contractor’s license from the city’s Building and Housing Department. A separate license for snow removal by a landscape and lawn care professional or any snow removal contractor is required.
   (B)   (1)   The landscape and lawn care professional shall either remove all yard waste from the premises at the conclusion of each work day; or bag all yard waste in brown paper yard waste bags and place said waste bags in rear of premises. Under no circumstances shall yard waste be left on the premises in plastic garbage waste bags. Snow removed cannot be placed on streets or sidewalks.
      (2)   The license fee for general and sub-contractors is $110 for a fiscal year. The full fee is due regardless of when it is purchased. It will not be prorated if not purchased at the beginning of the fiscal year. The license will be good from the date it is purchased through April 30.
   (C)   Prior to any license being issued, the general and/or subcontractor must present proof to the city that they or their company are licensed and bonded.
