§ 31.085 DEPOSIT OF CITY FUNDS.
   The City Treasurer shall receive all moneys belonging to the city, and subject to the provisions of and in accordance with the requirements of 65 ILCS 5/31-35 and the state’s Investment of Public Funds Act, being 50 ILCS 340, the Treasurer shall deposit them in such bank or banks as may be designated by the Mayor and City Council, and shall render at the end of each month and more often if required, a statement, under oath to the City Clerk, showing the state of the treasury at the date of such account, and the balance of money in the treasury. This statement shall set forth all the moneys received by him or her, and from whom, and on what account they shall have been received; also, all moneys paid out by him or her, and on what account they shall have been paid.
