(A) (1) Before a sidewalk permit is issued, a permit fee therefor shall be paid to the Director of Building and Housing.
(2) The fee shall be two and one-half cents per linear foot of frontage; provided that, the minimum permit fee for such permit shall be $5.
(3) Where work for which a permit is required by this subchapter is started or proceeded with prior to obtaining a permit, the fees provided in this section shall be doubled, but the payment of such double fee shall not relieve any person from fully complying with the requirements of this subchapter in the execution of the work, nor from any other penalties which may be prescribed by this code.
(B) (1) Before plans and specifications are accepted for checking, a plan checking fee in addition to the building permit fee shall be paid to the Inspector.
(2) The plan checking fee shall be one-half the building permit fee.
