§ 31.037 PLATES, BADGES AND EMBLEMS TO BE FURNISHED BY CLERK.
   When any ordinance of the city requires a license to be obtained for the purpose of engaging in or carrying on any business or occupation and the ordinance requires the licensee to obtain and exhibit plates, badge or emblems, and in all other cases where plates, badges or emblems furnished by the city are required by ordinance to be exhibited, the City Clerk shall deliver such plates, badges and emblems, or any of them, free of charge to the person paying the license fee and such fee shall be considered as covering the cost of issuance of the license, together with the plates, badges or emblems. If any licensee, or any person, who has been furnished a plate, badge or emblem in accordance with the ordinances of the city, loses the same, such person, upon making an affidavit to that effect, and the payment of a fee of $0.50, shall be furnished by the Clerk, upon presentation of the affidavit, another plate or badge.
