§ 92.68 PAYMENT BY VIOLATOR; FEE; NON-PAYMENT OF FINE.
   (A)   (1)   Pursuant to the citation, the person so accused of the violation may settle and compromise the violation claim in respect to the code or ordinance violation by paying the municipality the applicable amount as shown in the schedule set forth in division (B) below, within a period to be specified in the citation, not more than seven days after the time the alleged offense was committed.
      (2)   Such payment shall be made in accordance with the instructions contained in the citation, at the office of the Police Department, which shall issue a receipt for the money so received and promptly remit the amount to the City Treasurer to be credited to the proper municipal fund.
   (B)   The violation claim described in the citation to be issued pursuant to the terms of this chapter may be settled, compromised and paid in the respective amounts set forth in the following schedule.
      (1)   In the event that the payment is made prior to the mailing by the municipality or by the peace officer of a final notice, the following amounts shall be accepted as settlement:
         (a)   Violation of nuisance: $5; and
         (b)   Regulating and licensing dogs: $5.
      (2)   In the event that payment has not be paid prior to the mailing of a final notice and in fact, final notice has been mailed, the following amounts shall be accepted as settlement:
         (a)   Violation of nuisance: $7; and
         (b)   Regulating and licensing dogs: $7.
      (3)   In the event that payment is not made within the time prescribed in the final notice, and a notice to appear has been served and a complaint filed in the Circuit Court of the county, payment of any fine and costs shall be in such amounts as may be determined and established by the Circuit Court of the county.
