(A) Application for registration of dogs subject to registration shall be considered delinquent on March 1 of each year and the registration fee shall increase $0.50 on the first day of each succeeding month thereafter during the registration period.
(B) (1) Newly acquired dogs are subject to registration without delinquent registration fees increase if application for registration is made within ten days after acquisition of such dog.
(2) Failure to register such newly acquired dog as provided in this chapter shall subject applicants to the full registration fee, plus accumulated increases.
(C) No increase for delinquent registration shall apply to the registration of dogs exercised or trained within city limits by non-residents of the city.
