For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DOG. Any animal of the canine species, either male or female, when not otherwise indicated.
INOCULATION AGAINST RABIES. The injection subcutaneously or otherwise, as approved by the state’s Department of Agriculture of canine anti-rabies vaccine approved by the Department of Agriculture and by the United States Department of Agriculture.
OWNER. Any person having a right of property in a dog, or who keeps or harbors a dog, or who has it in his or her care, or acts as its custodian, or who knowingly permits a dog to remain on or about any premises occupied by him or her.
