(A) Septic tanks or private sewage disposal systems shall not be installed in the city after 7-3-1968.
(B) When such public sewer main becomes available, as provided in this chapter, any such septic tank, outhouse, privy, privy vault, cesspool or other private sewage disposal system theretofore used shall be discontinued and a direct connection shall be made to the municipal sewerage system in compliance with this chapter, and any septic tanks, or similar private sewage disposal facilities shall be abandoned and filled with suitable material. No septic tank or similar private sewage disposal facilities shall be permitted to discharge into any public sewer main, storm sewer or natural outlet.
