Each employee of the city who is covered by the collective bargaining agreement of the city and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees shall, in addition, be governed by the following rules concerning the use of unused and unpaid vacation and sick days at the time of retirement:
(A) The employee shall be allowed to receive pay at retirement for no more than 60 days of vacation or sick leave.
(B) All accumulated sick and vacation days over 60 shall be used to convert such days to service credit as provided for by the state’s Municipal Retirement Fund.
