§ 35.005 CERTIFICATION OF EMPLOYEES OF CIVIL SERVICE OR FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION.
   No paycheck shall be issued to any new employee hired subsequent to the effective date of this section without the City Treasurer having first obtained certification from the Civil Service Commission or the Fire and Police Commission that said employee is occupying an office or place of employment according to the provisions of law and is entitled to payment therefor. This section is not applicable to officers subject to appointment by the Mayor and is not applicable to employees who enter a different city position pursuant to contract between the city and the union or pursuant to promotional rules of the Board of Fire and Police.
