For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ADULT DAY CARE HOME. Any single-family home located in a residential district and used as a home which regularly provides care for a group of no more than two up to a maximum of six adults that do not reside in the home, for a payment of a fee and for less than 24 hours per day. The adults (clients) must be ambulatory with or without the aid of any assistive devices.
DAY CARE HOME. Family homes which receive more than three up to a maximum of 12 children for less than 24 hours per day. The number counted includes the family's natural or adopted children and all other persons under the age of 12. The term does not include facilities which receive only children from a single household.
GROUP DAY CARE HOME. Family homes which receive more than three up to a maximum of 16 children for less than 24 hours per day. The number counted includes the family's natural or adopted children and all other persons under the age of 12.
