Sworn personnel of the Fire Department whose original or promotional appointments are subject to the Board of Fire and Police are required to be residents of the city. New personnel shall have resided in the city at least six months prior to examination. Failure to remain a city resident shall be the basis for dismissal of sworn personnel.
