§ 33.08 DEPUTY CHIEFS OF POLICE.
   (A)   There are hereby created two positions of Deputy Chief of Police.
   (B)   The Deputy Chiefs of Police shall be chosen by the Police Chief. The positions shall be non-Board of Fire and Police Commissioners tested/appointed ranks. Appointment to this position may be made from time to time. While appointed, a Deputy Chief shall be on leave from his or her Board of Fire and Police Commissioners rank.
   (C)   A Deputy Chief of Police shall be a sworn police officer and shall have all powers and authority as specified by the Police Chief and shall serve in such capacity as directed by the Police Chief. A Deputy Chief may be removed by the Police Chief without cause at which time he or she shall return to his or her Board of Fire and Police Commissioners rank.
