§ 33.04 ASSISTANT CHIEF OF POLICE.
   There is created the position of Assistant Chief of Police. One or more Assistant Chiefs of Police may be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. Anyone appointed to the position of Assistant Chief of Police shall work with and assist the Chief of Police in his or her duties and shall serve in such capacities as directed by the Chief. While appointed Assistant Chief of Police, a person shall maintain his or her rank or position, and pay, attained under the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.
