Once the City Clerk has determined that the business license application is complete, he or she shall forward the application to the Building Commissioner and the Chief of Police for investigation.
(A) The Building Commissioner shall cause an inspection of the premises for compliance with all applicable laws, including the building, electrical, plumbing, health, housing, zoning and fire codes of the village, and any other regulations of the village relating to the public health, safety and welfare.
(B) The Chief of Police shall cause an investigation into the applicant's personal and criminal history and review the security plan.
