The Illinois Vehicle Code, 625 ILCS 5/1-100 et seq., as amended from time to time, is hereby adopted by reference. For purposes of writing citations under the city code based upon the adoption of the Illinois Vehicle Code as stated herein, the officer shall provide a reference to this section followed by a slash and the section number from the Illinois Vehicle Code.
