§ 31.365 CITY ADMINISTRATOR/DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
   (A)   There is hereby created the position of City Administrator/Director of Economic Development.
   (B)   The City Administrator/Director of Economic Development shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. Appointment to this position created by ordinance may be made from time to time.
   (C)   The duties of the person appointed to the position of City Administrator/Director of Economic Development shall include, but not be limited to, advising the Mayor and City Council; defining goals and performance objectives necessary for the proper and efficient operation of the city; implementing strategies to attain goals and performance objectives; monitoring and reporting progress of goals and performance objectives; designing, implementing and monitoring economic development projects and programs; serving as a liaison between property owners, businesses, city staff and others regarding economic development projects and programs; preparing and submitting applications and proposals for funding city economic development projects and programs to county, state and federal government offices, departments and agencies and non-government entities; monitoring funding received from county, state and federal government offices, departments and agencies and non-government entities for projects and programs; ensuring compliance with guidelines of county, state and non-government entities relating to funds received for projects and programs; completing and submitting reports required by county, state and federal government offices, departments and agencies and non-government entities; maintaining city economic development data; attending Planning and Zoning Board meetings and any other meetings as directed; performing research; working on municipal zoning map and census matters; meeting goals established by the Mayor; becoming a member of position related professional organizations; attending position related seminars and conferences; and presenting a monthly report of all work performed to the Mayor.
   (D)   The City Administrator/Director of Economic Development shall perform such other duties as may be assigned or delegated by the Mayor.
   (E)   The City Administrator/Director of Economic Development shall receive as compensation for services performed such sum as set from time to time by ordinance.
