For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CODE. Any municipal ordinance, law, housing or building code or zoning code that establishes construction, plumbing, heating, electrical, fire prevention, sanitation or other health and safety standards that are applicable to structures or property in the municipality.
FAMILY UNIT. A room or group of rooms used or intended to be used as a housekeeping unit of living sleeping, cooking and eating.
HEARING OFFICER. An individual appointed by the Mayor of the city, whose qualifications and duties are defined by state law and this chapter.
INSPECTOR. Any employee of the city designated by the city to enforce codes or similar laws, or his or her duly authorized representative.
PROPERTY OWNER. One or more persons, a corporation, a partnership or any other legal entity, jointly or severally in whom is vested all or part of the legal title to the premises or all or part of the beneficial ownership and right to present use and enjoyment of the premises, including a mortgage holder in possession.
