The Director of the Department of Human Resources shall be responsible for the following aspects of the city workforce:
(A) Supports the day-to-day clerical requirements of Human Resources;
(B) Maintain complete and accurate filing system for all HR documents;
(C) Able to assist with recruiting functions, screening resumes;
(D) Providing administrative support working with employees to resolve benefit issues;
(E) Assist with the revisions and communication of current and newly developed policies and procedures;
(F) Assist with documentation process for accidents or incidents;
(G) Works with managers to improve corporate culture, motivation strategies and encourages good will to all employees;
(H) Should work with administrative staff to ensure a productive work environment;
(I) Handling all compensation and benefits distributed by the city;
(J) Conducting new hires orientation where required;
(K) Processing benefit claim information and following up on discrepancies with third party providers;
(L) Verifying employee healthcare benefits eligibility;
(M) Inputting new employee data and updating current employees’ data directly into software system; and
(N) Answering employee questions regarding benefits, eligibility and explanation of benefits.
