From time to time interdepartmental training classes and outside training classes at the local technical institutes or at other locations will be scheduled. These classes are scheduled for the benefit of all officers and the department. Schedules will be posted well in advance of classes and all personnel concerned will be notified. All training classes are mandatory attendance unless otherwise excused by the chief of police.
