Sec. 14-31. Demotions and pay increases.

(a) Demotions shall be made at the discretion of the chief of police for inefficiency, attitude, violation of policy and any other considerations that may be detrimental to the department and the city.

(b) Pay increases shall be made upon the recommendation of the chief of police in accordance with the city pay plan.
