§ 72.57 ENFORCEMENT, RECORD, AND FINE FOR VIOLATION.
   (A)   The City Treasurer under the direction of the City Administrator shall keep account of all violations of this subchapter.
   (B)   The City Treasurer shall keep an account of and report the number of each parking meter which indicates that the vehicle occupying the parking space adjacent to such parking meter is or has been parked in violation of any of the provisions of this subchapter, the date and hour of such violation, the make and the state license number of such vehicle, or any other facts a knowledge of which is necessary to a thorough understanding of the circumstances attending such violation.
   (C)   The Chief of Police or any member of the Police Department shall attach to such vehicle a notice stating that it has been parked in violation of § 72.49 of this chapter, and instructing the owner or operator to report to city hall in regard to such violation, and pay the City Treasurer, or his duly authorized representative, in full satisfaction of such violation, the sum of $l, or pay the violation charge in any yellow courtesy box, 24 hours after the time when such notice was attached to such vehicle. If the owner or operator fails to pay for such violation within the 24-hour period, he may within three days after the time when such notice was attached to such vehicle, pay the City Treasurer, or his duly authorized representative in full satisfaction of such violation, the sum of $3. In either such case where such payment is made in the time required the name of the owner or operator shall not be added to the record of traffic violators. Upon failure of any person to answer charges of overparking, as herein provided for, the overparking complaint shall be treated in the same manner now applied to summons and shall be issued therefore.
