The Mayor shall designate some person to make regular collections of the money deposited in the parking meters and to deliver the money to the City Treasurer. The City Treasurer shall count the money and place it in the general fund, keeping a strict account thereof. Any and all such money deposited in the general fund shall be used exclusively for the purposes specified in § 72.54. Such person making such collection shall be bonded in the sum of $1,000 to insure the faithful performance of his duties.
