§ 35.28 LEAVE FOR JURY DUTY.
Employees who are required to serve on juries shall be compensated in direct proportion to their regular pay only for those actual hours wherein they are under the direction of the court. Concurrently, whatever compensation is given by the court to the employee serving on jury duty shall be deducted from that employee’s pay. It shall be the duty of the employee to provide evidence of that payment to his or her departmental supervisor and in the absence of fulfilling that duty, the employee shall not be compensated for the time absent from work, unless the employee can show conclusive evidence that no compensation was received by him or her for jury duty.
