PARK RULES
§ 93.20 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   BOARD. The Parks and Recreation Board for the city.
   PARK. Any land owned or controlled by the Board of Parks and Recreation for the city.
   PERSON. Includes persons and corporations.

§ 93.21 PARK HOURS.
   All parks will be open from 7:00 a.m. and close at 9:00 p.m., with the exception of parks that have a designated athletic field, swimming pool or court lighting where the park will be open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m. Hours may be extended with a permit from the Board.

§ 93.22 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
   No person shall bring, have, carry, serve or drink alcoholic beverages within the parks, except alcohol may be possessed, served and consumed in the “Garden and Meadow, ”“Garden House” and “Pavilion in the Meadow” areas of Matter Park during city sponsored events and private events previously approved by the Board.

§ 93.23 PRESERVATION OF PROPERTY AND NATURAL FEATURES.
   No person shall injure, deface or disturb any part of the parks, nor any building, sign, equipment, nor may other property or minerals be removed, injured, or destroyed.

§ 93.24 HUNTING AND MOLESTING WILD LIFE.
   No person shall hunt, pursue with dogs, traps or in any other way molest any wild bird or animal found within the confines of the park or therein rob or molest any bird nest or take the eggs of any bird. Persons may fish from the park property if they follow the fishing regulations as stated by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Fishing in the ponds at Matter Park is “catch and release” only except at otherwise ordered by the Park Board.

§ 93.25 FIRES.
   No person shall start a fire in any park except for eating purposes in park grills, privately owned grills or in designated areas approved by the Board. All fires shall be put out by the person or persons starting or using the same before leaving the immediate vicinity of the fire. The dumping of hot ashes or fire from portable grills onto the grass or plants is prohibited.

§ 93.26 LITTERING.
   No person shall drop, cast or spill litter on park property except in receptacles provided for such purpose.
