§ 71.06 PEDESTRIANS.
   (A)   Boarding or alighting from vehicles. No person shall board or alight from any vehicle while such vehicle is in motion.
   (B)   Crossing at right angles. No pedestrian shall cross a roadway at any place other than by a route at right angles to the curb or by the shortest route to the opposite curb except in a crosswalk.
   (C)   Prohibited crossing.
      (1)   Between adjacent intersections at which official traffic-control signals are in operation, pedestrians shall not cross at any place except in a crosswalk.
      (2)   No pedestrian shall cross a roadway other than in a crosswalk in the Central Business District.
      (3)   No pedestrian shall cross a roadway other than in a crosswalk upon any of the streets designated by the City Traffic Engineer, with the approval of the City Traffic Commission.
   (D)   Violation. Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be deemed to have committed an ordinance violation and, upon conviction, shall be fined as set forth in § 10.99.
