§ 159.60 SIDEWALKS.
   (A)   Major thoroughfares. A 5-foot wide concrete sidewalk located 1 foot from the property line on the side or sides of the roadway abutting the subdivision shall be provided. In those instances where no good purpose would be served by the provision of sidewalks, the City Commission may waive this requirement.
   (B)   Collector streets. A 5-foot concrete sidewalk located 1 foot from the property line on each side of the roadway shall be provided. In those instances where no good purpose would be served by the provision of sidewalks, the City Commission may waive this requirement.
   (C)   Minor streets. A 5-foot concrete sidewalk located 1 foot from the property line on each side of the roadway shall be provided. In those instances where no good purpose would be served by the provision of sidewalks, the City Commission may waive this requirement.
   (D)   Marginal access streets. A 5-foot sidewalk located 1 foot from the property line on the private property side of the roadway shall be provided. In those instances where no good purpose would be served by the provision of sidewalks, the City Commission may waive this requirement.
   (E)   Public walkways. The surface of the walkways shall be developed in concrete. Planting pockets shall be provided in public walkways for tree and shrub planting. The planting plan and surface treatment shall meet the approval of the Planning Commission. Fences or other improvements may also be required if the Planning Commission or City Commission determines they are necessary to protect the adjacent property owners.
