If work for which an electrical permit is issued is not started within 6 months of the date of issue or if work is abandoned for a period of 6 months, the permit shall lapse and cease to be in effect. The Inspection Authority may reinstate an expired permit within 1 year of its date of issue, but the reinstatement shall not be obligatory. Permits which have expired, lapsed or abandoned 1 year or more may only be reinstated by resolution of the Inspection Authority in each case.
