The Michigan Electrical Code is hereby adopted by reference. The purpose of the code is for safeguarding life and property by regulating and providing for the inspection of the installation, alteration, repairing, servicing and maintenance of electrical equipment; and to provide for the administration and enforcement thereof. Printed copies of the Michigan Electrical Code shall be kept in the office of the City Clerk for public use, inspection and distribution.
