§ 32.22 REFUND OF MEMBER'S ACCUMULATED CONTRIBUTIONS.
   (A)   Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, a person who ceases to be a member for any reason except retirement or death, prior to satisfying the age and service requirements for retirement provided in § 32.10, shall be paid his or her accumulated contributions upon written request filed with the Board of Trustees.
   (B)   If a person dies and no pension becomes or will become payable by the retirement system on account of the death, the deceased person's accumulated contributions shall be paid to such person or persons as the deceased person shall have nominated by written designation duly executed and filed with the Board of Trustees. If there be no such designated person surviving the deceased person, the accumulated contributions shall be paid to the deceased person's estate.
