A person with less than the applicable period of credited service specified in § 32.17 for disability retirement shall have his or her credited service increased to the applicable specified period for the sole and exclusive purpose of qualifying for disability retirement and computation of the disability retirement pension, subject to the following conditions:
(A) The Board of Trustees finds the person's total and permanent incapacity for continued city employment to be the natural and proximate result of a personal injury or disease arising out of and in the course of the person's actual performance of duties in the employ of the city;
(B) The person is paid Worker's Compensation on account of the incapacity.
