553.07 LIGHTING OF RAILROAD CROSSINGS.
   (a)   It is deemed necessary by Council to have the railways at all street crossings within the limits of the City lighted, and the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company and the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, are hereby required to light their railways at street crossings within the limits of the City as follows:
(1)   Crossings at Butler Street and at Front Street, Second Street and Third Street shall be lighted with Mercury Vapor Lights and the railroad companies shall erect the necessary lampposts or poles therefor.
(2)   All other crossings within the limits of the City shall be lighted with standard bracket lights and the railroad companies shall erect the necessary lampposts or poles therefor.
   (b)   Such lamps and lampposts or poles shall be as required by the Director of Public Safety and Service or the City Engineer, and such lights shall be kept burning from sundown to sunup in each twenty-four hours, or for the same period as other street lighting.
