101.09 AMENDMENTS TO CODIFIED ORDINANCES.
   All ordinances passed subsequent to these Codified Ordinances which amend, repeal or in any way affect these Codified Ordinances shall be numbered in accordance with the numbering system of these Codified Ordinances and printed for inclusion herein, or in case of the repeal of chapters, sections, subsections or any part thereof by subsequent ordinances, such repealed portions shall be excluded from these Codified Ordinances by omission from reprinted pages affected thereof. The subsequent ordinances as numbered and printed or omitted, in the case of repeal, shall be prima-facie evidence of such subsequent ordinances until such time that these Codified Ordinances and subsequent ordinances numbered or omitted are re-adopted as new codified sections by Council.
   Amendments to these Codified Ordinances shall be made by specific reference to the section umber of the Codified Ordinances in the following language: “That section              of the Codified Ordinances of Marietta, Ohio, is hereby amended to read as follows: . . .”
The new section shall then be set out in full and the section so amended shall be repealed.
   In the event a new section is added to these Codified Ordinances, the following language shall be used: “That the Codified Ordinances of Marietta, Ohio, is hereby amended by adding a section to be numbered              , which section read as follows: . . .” The new section shall then be set out in full.
   All sections or chapters of the Codified Ordinances desired to be repealed must be specifically repealed by section or chapter number.
