(a) Parking shall be restricted and controlled in that part of the City known as the shopping or business area, according to zone designations as follows: Zone A and Zone B.
(b) Zones A and B as specified in subsection ( a) of this section are shown on the map of the shopping or business area as prepared by the Department of Engineering of the City. For that purpose, a copy of such map is on file in the Traffic Division, Engineering Department and in the office of the Director of Public Safety and Service.
(c) Notwithstanding the removal of parking meters in the City of Marietta, the parking zones mentioned herein shall be apportioned into parking spaces to be numbered as shown on the Parking Meter Zoning Map. Parking spaces in the parking zones shall be designated by striping their boundaries with white paint. All vehicles shall be parked so as to be entirely contained within the confines of the parking space as marked.
(d) The Parking Meter Zoning Map, a copy of which is made a part hereof, and the designations and numbers therefor, shall not be changed or altered in any way except by the Director of Public Safety and Service, after he has gained permission to do so from a majority of the members of the Traffic and Transportation Committee of Council.
