(a) Wellfield protection area shall be determined, instituted and administered in accordance with rules and regulations promulgated by the director, provided designations of wellfield protection areas are contingent on the Water Superintendent's approval. The extent of such wellfield protection areas shall reflect the description in Section 928.04 (36) and (37) and shall be shown on maps maintained by the Water Superintendent.
(b) If a portion of a facility is located within a wellfield protection area, the entire facility shall be governed by this chapter.
