The provisions of this chapter shall be effective within the City of Marietta corporate limits and outside the corporate limits to the maximum extent allowed by the Ohio Revised Code Section 743.25 and any other state or federal law. Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed so as to interfere with any existing or future lawful requirements that may be or, heretofore were, imposed by any other public body authorized to enact sanitary, health or water pollution abatement restrictions so long as such requirements are consistent with, or more stringent than, the stated purpose of this ordinance. Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed so as to interfere with the duties and powers of the Water Superintendent of the City of Marietta, Ohio.
