141.02 ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF'S DUTIES.
   (a)    The Assistant Fire Chief's primary duty shall be one of public education concerning fire prevention. This duty shall occupy a minimum of one-half of the Assistant Fire Chief's work time and shall be under the direction of the Fire Chief. Other duties shall include those of fire prevention inspector and drill master, and the Assistant Fire Chief shall have such additional authority, duties, responsibilities, management and control of the Department as the Chief shall authorize, including, but not limited to, the duty of inspecting buildings for fire hazards, maintaining records, issuing orders for the correction of fire hazards and promulgating and carrying out a drill program.

   (b)    The Assistant Fire Chief shall have the same authority, duties, responsibilities, management and control of the Department, during the absence or disability of the Chief, as is conferred on the Chief of the Fire Department.
