The Director of Public Safety and Service in granting a street fair/festival or park event permit under this chapter, after consultation with the Chief of the Fire Department, as a condition of any permit which involves the closure of a public street or where any activity proposed for a public park or parking lot is planned within twenty feet of a traffic lane, shall impose, if applicable, as a condition of the permit, the maintenance of a fire lane on any closed street, the minimum width of a pedestrian pathway, and the minimum distance of displays, booths or any structures, activities, demonstrations or performances from traffic lanes, fire hydrants and building entrances.
