945.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following definitions:
(a)    "Street fairs/festivals" mean the temporary closure of public streets or portions thereof to vehicular traffic for the purposes of either a:
(1)    "Street fair" means an event where a public street is to be used as a pedestrian promenade, and/or for the erection of booths and stands for the sale of goods and merchandise and/or for the sale of food and nonalcoholic beverages, and/or for public exhibitions, demonstrations or performances, and may include the use of the street(s) so closed as an overnight location for motor homes, travel trailers, or similar recreational vehicles.
(2)    "Festival" means an event with a unified theme where a public street is to be used as a pedestrian promenade and/or for the erection of booths and stands for the sale of food and nonalcoholic beverages, and may include the use of the street(s) so closed as an overnight location for motor homes, travel trailers, or similar recreational vehicles.
(b)    "Park event" means an event which takes place upon public park lands or public parking lots and involves the erection of booths, stands, display areas for the sale of food and nonalcoholic beverages, and/or the sale of goods and merchandise, and/or for exhibitions, demonstrations or public performances, and may include the use of such public park lands, public parking lots, or street(s) closed in connection therewith as an overnight location for motor homes, travel trailers, or similar recreational vehicles.

(c)    "Other street closures" mean the temporary closure of a public street or portions thereof upon the request of the organizer of an event which takes place upon private property and is open to the general public, for purposes of pedestrian safety and/or for the elimination of severe traffic congestion.
