721.07 EXHIBITIONS AND SHOWS; EXEMPTIONS.
   No person shall present any of the following shows, exhibitions, entertainments, performances or amusements of whatever name or nature, for which money or other reward is in any manner demanded or received, without a license from the Mayor. The Mayor shall not deliver such license to any person without first ascertaining the date and kind of proposed entertainment and until he is satisfied that the purpose for which the license is asked is proper, and has received, for the use of the City, the following fees therefor:
(a)    For circuses with a menagerie or animals, one hundred fifty dollars ($50.00) for each twenty-four hours of performance;
(b)    For carnivals, one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each twenty-four hours of performance;
(c)    For any exhibition of furniture, flowers, fashions, paintings or natural curiosity or for any concert, public dance or musical entertainment, ten dollars ($10.00) for each twenty-four hours of performance;
(d)    For exhibitions or performances of any kind on a boat or other floating craft, forty dollars ($640.00) for each twenty-four hours of performance;
(e)    (EDITOR'S NOTE: This subsection was repealed by Ordinance 245(80-81), passed November 19, 1981.)
(f)   For all other performances or exhibitions for gain, fifteen dollars ($15.00) for each twenty-four hours of performances.
   No fee shall be required for any exhibition, performance or event sponsored or provided by the students of Marietta College or any City school or by any benevolent, patriotic or charitable organization.
