717.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter the following definitions shall apply:
(a)    "Family unit" means the place of abode of a person or persons living separately or together as an independent group.
(b)    "Double" or "duplex residences" means the grouping together of two residential units under a common roof.
(c)    "Multiple-family residence" or "apartment" means the grouping together under a common roof of three or more residential units.
(d)    "Garbage" means any refuse accumulation of animal, fruit or vegetable matter and any material or substance and fruit used in the processing, cooking, dealing in or storage of meats, fowl, fruit and vegetables from which liquids have been drained and solid matter wrapped in paper.
(e)    "Rubbish" means any nonputrescible waste or rejected matter, including trash, debris, tin cans, glass, bottles, waste paper, wood and paper boxes, bricks, concrete, plaster, wood, or any refuse from construction, remodeling or repairing of dwellings, buildings or grounds.
(f)    "Other refuse" means all discarded materials not included in the foregoing description.
(g)    "Contractor" means any person, persons, company, firm or corporation contracted with the City to collect garbage, rubbish and trash in the City.
