(A) In the event of a violation of any provision of this subchapter, the Mayor shall give notice to the owner, occupant, or person having charge of the premises on which the violation occurs to cease such violation. The notice shall be in writing and shall be served on the owner, occupant, or person having charge of those premises by registered or certified mail addressed to that person’s last place of residence.
(B) No person served with the notice as provided in this section shall fail to cause that violation to cease within ten days of the date on which the notice was issued.
