§ 55.41 NOTIFICATION OF OWNER.
   The Village Fiscal Officer, upon receiving notice from the Building Commissioner, that any sidewalk should be reconstructed or repaired, or that any paved sidewalk, or sidewalk area (including driveways and grass strips), is not in repair or is not free from nuisance, shall notify the owner of the abutting property in writing to have the necessary reconstruction or repairs made as hereinbefore provided. Such notice shall be served upon the owner or agent of the owner of each parcel of land abutting on such sidewalk who is a resident of the county in the manner provided for the service of summons in civil actions. For the purpose of such service, any person charged with the collection of rents or the payment of taxes on the property or having general control of it in any way shall make his or her return on a copy of such notice within the time and manner of service endorsed thereon, signed by the Fiscal Officer, which copy shall be filed in the Col. Donald L. Shanks Municipal Building.
