§ 52.01 UTILITY SERVICE PROVIDERS.
   (A)   Definition. Corporation or firm furnishing the following services within the village:
      (1)   Supplier of electricity for light, heat or power purposes to consumers in the village, including village street lighting;
      (2)   Supplier of natural gas for lighting, power, or heating purposes to consumers in the village;
      (3)   Water works company engaged in supplying water through pipes to consumers within the village;
      (4)   Sewage and storm water disposal system company providing disposal services through pipes within the village; or
      (5)   Telephone company engaged in transmitting telephone or informational messages to, from, through, or in the village.
   (B)   Responsibilities. Utility service companies shall be responsible for:
      (1)   Inspection of services in the rights-of- way;
      (2)   Repair/replacement of such services;
      (3)   Branches to property line of users;
      (4)   Meter installations, if applicable; or
      (5)   Permits are required for such work:
         (a)   Work by utility company employees: No fee; or
         (b)   Work by private contractor: Fees will be charged.
   (C)   Location of piping, wires, and other conduits of utilities. All work shall be underground in all locations, public or private, except where above- ground wiring was in place prior to June 27, 1941.
   (D)   Location of transformers and units for wiring interconnections for utilities. All equipment shall be underground in all locations, public or private, except where above-ground wiring was in place prior to June 27, 1941.
   (E)   Compliance. All utility services shall comply with contracts/agreements made a part hereof and attached herewith, and with any special zoning requirements set forth in Ch. 151.
