(A) The Recreation Director shall have the following duties.
(1) The Recreation Director is authorized and empowered, with the advice and consent of the Mayor, to select and employ personnel needed to operate and maintain village recreational facilities in the classifications established in division (B) below.
(2) The Director will be in charge of the care, maintenance, and control of all recreation facilities and equipment related thereto in the village.
(3) The Director will be in charge of staffing and supervising the employees in the Recreation Department.
(4) The Director shall maintain order in the recreation areas.
(5) The Director will be responsible for ordering all supplies necessary for use at these facilities. Orders amounting to $100 or more require a purchase order signed by the Mayor.
(6) The Director shall, prior to November 1 of each year, submit proposed recreation programs for the ensuing year and estimated costs for the operation of each program to Council for approval.
(7) The Director shall maintain and provide monthly records and provide reports to Council of receipts or income from any program and the number of participants in each program. Reports shall be filed the fifth working day after the last day in the month.
(8) In addition to the above, the Director shall perform any and all other duties that may from time to time be assigned by the Mayor in order that the recreation program shall be carried into effect.
(B) The following chart sets forth the swimming pool and tennis court salary schedule:*

(C) Any employee who is required to handle funds belonging to the village as part of his or her duties shall be bonded in the amount of $2,500.
(D) All full-time recreation employees shall be village residents and be high school graduates and shall not be permitted to work more than 44 hours per week, except in case of emergency.
(E) All part-time recreation employees shall be village residents and at least 16 years of age.
(F) Any former employee in the Recreation Department may be re-employed each season, although not a village resident.
(G) In the event the Recreation Director is unable to employ a village resident in grades two, three, or four, the Recreation Director, with the advice and consent of the Mayor, shall select and hire qualified personnel in this grade who shall carry out the Village Recreation Program.
(H) The Recreation Director, with the advice and consent of the Mayor, shall select and hire all other necessary personnel to carry out the Village Recreation Program and the Director shall grade and determine the amount to be paid those employees in their classifications.
