(A) (1) The sound level meter shall be a standard sound level meter such as made by Radio Shack, Realistic or equivalent.
(2) Readings shall be taken on the C scale and slow response.
(B) Only village police officers trained in the use of the meter shall be considered competent to take sound level readings.
(C) Prior to using the meter to take a sound level reading, the officer shall verify the level meter's battery is in adequate condition and that the meter is in working order per the manufacturer's instructions.
(D) Measurement of sound levels shall be done in accordance with the meter manufacturer's approved procedures.
